Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeders
Get a group of bird-feeding enthusiasts together and squirrel stories will be told. If you have squirrels in your yard, you will have squirrels at your feeders! Our goal is to be smarter than the squirrels so your birds will get their food. We have several choices for squirrel-proofing your feeders:
Cage Style Feeders encircle the bird feeders to keep squirrels from reaching into the seed and suet. Some cage style feeders also have baffles above the feeder to keep squirrels from "dropping in" on the feeder. Baffles also help keep the weather off.
Mechanical/Motorized Feeders prevent squirrels from clinging to the feeder. These feeders "flip" or "twirl" the squirrels off.
Weight-Triggered Feeders "close off" access to the seed by the weight of the squirrel or large birds when they climb onto the feeder. Weight triggered feeders come in tube and hopper styles.
